Not worth it

i bought this pump because it was affordable with decent reviews.
I was not happy with the effectiveness of the pump-- it took forever to pump just 4 oz..
The "handle bars" are not arealistic way to sit and hold to use the pump efficiently-- it is easier to just pump one breast at a time.
After just one week of pumping 1 or twice a day milk starting going up the tubes.I called the company and a week and a few days later I recieved a new pump. While the process was simple and painless to get a new pump I would have much rather gotten my money back!
my advice is if you are serious about breastfeeding and are committed ot the time and process it will demand-- then spring for the high end medela pump-- my sister inlaw has it and it is glorious and simple and effective and quiet -- I mean well worth the money she invested.
As for me I have stopped using the pump and am exclusively breast feeding and supplementing with formula.. this pump is way too much of a pain and not worth it to me at all. |
Awesome customer service!

| I am using my husband's account to post this review. I liked this pump until, I like the others, had power reduction in the motor. In my case one side would pump at full steam and the other was pumping at the first speed. I called the 1 800 number and spoke to one of their representatives. Even though the warranty had expired, she express mailed me a brand new pump. Not just the motor an entire new box with everything we had originally purchased. They also included three etra sets of tubing, and extra set of valves, two extra shields and an extra bottle. They also included shipping labels so I could send the pump motor in for thier engineers to take apart and study. Now after the amazing customer service I will make sure to buy Learning Curve products. It nice that they stand behind their products. |

7 months of using this product and I continue to be very happy with it. The power is slightly less than I want, but it does work.
The unit is very compact, with a descrete logo-free bag for travel. Cleaning the parts is very simple. I love the soft, silicon cups, makes for a great seal and is very forgiving when getting comfortable or readjusting yourself. you don't NEED to pump both breasts at once, but the "handle" piece makes doing so a nearly hands free experience. |
Love it.

I was skeptical buying this breastpump. I had a "hand-me-down" double sided Medela (the poor thing was just worn out) and didn't pump very much. I also tried one by Evenflo. This pump has worked the best out of all of them! I didn't want to invest much $, as we aren't planning to have anymore kids. And for the $ I am VERY satisfied! I only pump about 6 times a week and I've heard this isn't the pump for moms who are exclusively pumping.
I didn't think I'd like the soft breast shields... but I do! I also didn't think I'd like the "bar" that allows pumping to be a one handed job- but that's the best part. I can even pump hands free using the bar pushed against my desk at work! I pump more milk with this pump than I have with all the other pumps I've tried. I also love the blue and brown tote bag!
Overall, I would definitely recommend this pump!! |
Product sucks

| I have used the pump for a week and a half and it has now died! This sucks as my child will not attach to the breast and I was relying on it to express my milk. Now I have to find an emergency replacement before the next feed. Thank you First Years!!! |
